Moncton, NB – It is with sadness that we announce the passing of James (Jimmy) Paul Green on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Moncton Hospital, at the age of 66.
Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Cecil and the late Anna Green (born LeBlanc).
James was a generous family man who would help anyone. He loved his family and friends, spending time at Norm’s cottage with Louise, playing golf, hockey and was a great athlete in his younger days.
James will be sadly missed by two sons, Peter Colbey (Mélanie Allain) of Grande-Digue and Shawn Colbey of Dieppe; one daughter, Jaime Green of Moncton; two granddaughters, Chelsea Green and Cloé-Lin Allain-Colbey; four sisters, Mary-Rose Evers (late Albert) of Moncton, Alice Melanson (late Camille), Gloria Babineau (Raymond), both from Dieppe, and Patsy Leger of Moncton; one brother, Richard Green (Lisa) of Riverview; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, James was predeceased by one sister, Betty-Ann Poirier (Leo) of Waltham, Mass. in 2012.
As per James’ wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. A private family celebration of his life, as well as that of his beloved late wife Louise, will be held this summer.
The family would like to send their thanks for all the support and condolences. Special thanks to Paul Hachey and Norm Poirier who were there for him in his in time of need.
