James “Jim” Mitton, 63, of Lakeville, NB, passed away on Thursday, December 5th, 2013, at his residence after a courageous battle with ALS.

 Born in Dieppe, NB, he was the son of the late Hartley and the late Rita (née: Leger) Mitton.

Mr. Mitton had been employed at Lakeside Golf & Country Club. He enjoyed attending live music sessions; was involved with the Moncton Literacy group and was also a member of the Living Waters Church in Lakeville.

He is survived by his wife, Eveline (née: Maillet); one daughter, Sally (Josh) Goguen of Lakeville; three sons: Ricky (Jane) of Calgary, AB, Gary (Cynthia) of Dieppe and Henry of Lakeville; one sister, Marilyn of Moncton; two brothers: David and Mark (Rachel), both of Notre-Dame; one sister-in-law, Doris of Riverview; eight grandchildren: Brandi, Kelsie, Jake, Nick, Martin, Konor, Jenika, Devun, several nieces and nephews, as well as the extended Maillet family.

Besides his parents; he was predeceased by three brothers: Lawrence, John and Dwayne.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Monday from 7 to 9 pm and also on Tuesday from 10 am until time of service.

Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, on Tuesday, December 10th, 2013 at 11 am, with Pastor Jeff Goodwin officiating.

Interment in Lakeside Cemetery, Lakeville, NB.
