Bill Whalen, 73 , of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday, July 25th, 2006 at his residence. Born in Campbellton, NB, he was the son of the late James William and the late Evelyn (née: Savoie) Whalen.
He was a veteran of the Korean War and served with the PPCLI, was a member of the Korean Veteran’s Association and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6.
Mr. Whalen is survived by two daughters: Jamie and Tracy both of Irishtown; two sons: Bill (Becky) of Moncton and Jason of Irishtown; two sisters: Valerie (Emmet) Byron and Claudia (Gerry) Adams both of Moncton; one brother, Ambrose (late Kay) of Campbellton; two grandchildren: Siobhan and Kyra as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Norma in 2003; two brothers: Clarence and Henry.
A private funeral service will be held, with Father Bernard Sloan officiating.
Donations to the Royal Canadian Legion or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
