Grande-Digue, NB – Jean-Marie Melanson, 75, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton on Sunday, January 31, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in St-Antoine, NB, he was the son of the late Philippe and late Irène (Robichaud) Melanson.
Jean-Marie will be sadly missed by his wife, Suzanne; his son, René (Tanya) of Dieppe, his daughter, Joanne White (Tony) of Riverview, his brother, Louis-Marie (Anne-Marie) of Grande-Digue; his two sisters, Maria and Nicole Cormier (Ronald) of Grande-Digue; his five grandchildren, Felicia, Meghan, Rebecca, Véronique and Gracie; his two great grandchildren, Domnick and Samara; also by several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, February 4, from 7 to 9 pm and on Friday, February 5 from 9:30 am until time of the service that will be held at the Passage Chapel in Shediac Bridge at 11 am.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, to the Tree of Hope or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
