St-Paul-de-Kent, NB – Jean-Noël LeBlanc, 73, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, after a brief illness.

Born in St-Norbert, NB on December 18, 1940, he was the son of the late Irenée and the late Emilienne (Boucher) LeBlanc.

Jean-Noël was a retired mechanic, having worked at Summer Tire on Mountain Rd. and the St-Paul Tree Nursery and up until his retirement, operating his own garage. His house and garage doors were always open for someone in need of a repair as he could never turn anyone away. After his love for his wife and family, he enjoyed wood working, his computer and despite his age, he could be found enjoying a good cartoon on TV or travelling the open miles of the internet. He was the creator of the Facebook page for his beloved childhood home of St-Norbert. He was never one to back down from a challenge, his love, his smile and phone advice will be dearly missed. In recent years, one of his hobbies was rebuilding a 68 Dodge Monaco with the help of his son, Marcel.

Jean-Noël will be sadly missed by his wife, Jeannette; his daughter, Louise (Robert) of Cocagne; his three sons, Arnel (Précille) and Joël both of Moncton, Marcel of St-Paul-de-Kent; his ten grandchildren, Bernard, Stephanie, Christine, Mélanie, Jacinthe, Amanda, André, Josée, Sophie and Dameon; his six great grandchildren, Vada, Robyn, Emma, Aiden, Ethan and Bailee; his sister, Bernice; his brother, Roger; also by several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one son, Daniel.

Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Sunday, December 22 from 7 to 9 pm and Monday, December 23 from 9:30 until time of the service at 10:30 am at the Passage Chapel in Shediac Bridge.
