Dieppe, N.B. – At the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, in Moncton, on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021, passed away peacefully Mr. Jean-Paul Aucoin, of Dieppe, at the age of 81 years and 10 months.
Born in Rogersville and having lived for many years in Saint-Louis de Kent, he was the son of the late Joseph Aucoin and the late Catherine Aucoin.
Jean-Paul was remarkably kind and generous. He was always ready to help anyone in need. He was optimistic and loved the small pleasures of life, such as a warm conversation, a good cup of coffee and a nice walk in nature. He was an exceptional man.
Jean-Paul will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Bertha Aucoin, of Dieppe; his son, Michel Aucoin (Athena), of Ottawa; his daughter, Colette Aucoin (Dave), of Dieppe; four brothers: Gérald (Marie-Cécile), Réginald (Florella), Robert (Jeanne) and Eugène (Annette); four sisters: Jeannita (late Abraham), Thérèse (Marc), Anne-Marie (late Raoul) and Jacqueline; five grandchildren: Olivia, Margareta, Grégory, Sophie and Amélie; as well as several cousins and nephews and nieces.
Besides his parents, Jean-Paul was predeceased by his brother Louis.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the Passage-Chartersville Funeral Home, located at 363 Amirault St., in Dieppe. Funeral service will be held on the same day, starting at 11:30 a.m., at the Sainte-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus Church, located at 457 Acadie Ave., in Dieppe.
Due to the current pandemic, the funeral home can only operate at 50 % of its capacity. Due to Covid-19 regulations, proof of vaccination, government ID and mask will be mandatory.
