Jean-Philippe «Tion» Cormier, 84, of Bouctouche passed away peacefully on Monday January 8, 2024 at the Stella Maris de Kent, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent. He was married to the late Jeannette (Collette) December 21, 2023. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Edouard «Eddie» and the late Hélène (LeBlanc) Cormier.
He will be sadly missed by his five children; Aurella Babineau (Louis) of Bouctouche, Andréa Cormier (Léo-Paul) de Saint-Maurice, Noëlla Cormier of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, Hubert (Debbie Ann), Jean-Louis of Bouctouche, his six grandchildren; Ella, Joceline, Stéphanie, Alban, Justin, Alexis, as well as four great grandchildren; Max, Levi, Reid and Shari. He also leaves to mourn his sister Dorilla Goguen of Tara, ON, one brother André of Saint-Edouard-de-Kent and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by one son; Jean-Paul (2011), two sisters; Bertha and Eva as well as three brothers; Alyre, Edouard and Edgar.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Friday January 12, 2024 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. A private funeral service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Tion’s memory donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
