Jean Valmond Langis, 77, of Dieppe and formerly of Shediac, NB, passed away on Thursday, August 27th, 2015 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Antoine and the late Perina (née: Boudreau) Langis.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Langis had a career in the R.C.A.F. for 26 and half years, followed by 18 years at Villa Providence in Security/Maintenance. He loved camping and was an avid fan of the Moncton Wildcats, often referred to as the 7th player. He was a long time member of Saint-Joseph parish in Shediac and more recently of Saint-Anselme parish in Dieppe.
He is survived by wife, Annette (née: Leger); three children: Marcel Langis and Joanne Ryan, both of Moncton and Robert (Paulette) Langis of Shediac; two step-children: Nathalie (Marc) Legere of Moncton and Michel Doiron (Jennifer Johnson) of Dieppe; his siblings: Gloria (Frank) LeBlanc of Dieppe and Rod (Barb) Langis of Clifton Royal; 7 grandchildren: Joshua, Jenna, Alex, Marc, Monica, Alexia and Maxime; one great grandchild, Marley; several nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved companion, Misha.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his 1st wife, Cecile (née: Leger) and also by four siblings: Carmen, Paul Emile, Rodolphe and Rene.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm ONLY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB, on Monday, August 31st, 2015 at 11 am.
Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.

Né à Moncton, N.-B., il était fils de feu Antoine et de feu Perina (née Boudreau) Langis.
Avant sa retraite, M. Langis avait fait 26 ans et demi de carrière avec l’ARC, suivi de 18 ans avec la Villa Providence dans la sécurité / maintenance. Il aimait faire du camping et était un passionné des Moncton Wildcats, souvent attribué comme le 7ième joeur. Il était un membre de longue date de la paroisse Saint-Joseph à Shediac, plus récemment de la paroisse Saint-Anselme à Dieppe.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Annette (née Leger); trois enfants: Marcel Langis et Joanne Ryan, tous deux de Moncton et Robert (Paulette) Langis de Shediac; deux beaux-enfants: Nathalie (Marc) Legere de Moncton et Michel Doiron (Jennifer Johnson) de Dieppe; sa soeur et son frère: Gloria (Frank) LeBlanc de Dieppe et Rod (Barb) Langis de Clifton Royal; 7 petits-enfants: Joshua, Jenna, Alex, Marc, Monica, Alexia et Maxime; un arrière petit-enfant, Marley; plusieurs neveux et nièces, ainsi que son chien, Misha.
Outre ses parents, son épouse en premier noce, Cecile (née Leger), ainsi que ses frères et soeurs: Carmen, Paul Emile, Rodolphe and Rene l’ont précédé dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B. (857-1901), le dimanche de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h SEULEMENT.
La messe des funérailles aura lieu en l’église Saint-Anselme à Dieppe, N.-B., le lundi 31 août, 2015 à 11h.
L’inhumation se fera au cimetière Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire, Dieppe, N.-B.
Un don à la Fondation des maladies du cœur serait apprécié par la famille.
