Dieppe, NB – Jeanne Nowlan, 79, passed away peacefully at Moncton Hospital, on Sunday, August 13, 2023.
Born in Saint-Paul, NB, she was the daughter of the late Claude and the late Émilienne Cormier (Breau).
Jeanne loved spending time at her camper every summer. There, she lived her best life, going for daily walks, biking, swimming at the pool, gardening and playing cards. She especially loved sitting around the campfire, laughing and telling stories with her family and friends. Jeanne hosted family suppers regularly, never missed a birthday, and she loved to be with others. She was always ready to help anyone who needed a hand. An avid knitter, she found joy in sharing the warm mittens she made with others. Jeanne was loved by all who knew her and will be remembered as a generous, kind, and loving woman who lived life to the fullest.
Jeanne will be sadly missed by her longtime companion, Claude; her children: Diane Doiron (Maxime) of Moncton, Ricky Nowlan (Johanne Beaulieu) of Moncton, and Ray Nowlan (Kim Gallant-Nowlan) of Grand-Barachois; her grandchildren: Melissa and Julie Doiron; Angelina, Alishia and Andrea Nowlan (TJ Bradley); Brooke and Bianca Nowlan; her great grandchildren: Koralee and Mason; her brother: Laurie Cormier (Lise) of St-Paul; her sister: Anna Savoie (Gilles) of Dieppe; her sisters-in-law: Laura, Jeannita and Noëlla; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister: Olivine “Marie” Smith (late Steve); her brothers: Aurèle, Gérald, Francis and Pierre (passed away as a baby).
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton, NB, (506) 855-1145, on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 5pm until time of funeral celebration at the chapel at 7pm. Burial will be held at a later date in St-Paul, where she will rest in peace with her parents.
In Jeanne’s memory, a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
