Jeanne Olscamp
1937 ~ 2024

Jeanne Olscamp, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at her home in Dieppe.

Born in Cap-Pelé, she was the daughter of the late Thaddée and Herminie (Cormier) LeBlanc.

Prior to her retirement, she was a compassionate and dedicated nurse at Hôtel-Dieu in Campbellton, and for more than 25 years at the Georges. L-Dumont Hospital in Moncton.

She will be greatly missed by her five children: Ronald ” Ronnie” (Sherrie) of Kingston ON, Hélène Boudreau (Paul) of Dieppe, Paul of Dieppe, Jocelyne Olscamp (Jeff Hyslop) of Moncton and Marcel (Alison) of Moncton; her grandchildren: Pamela, Stéphanie, Kimberly, Vanessa, Jayde, Layne, and André; and great-grandchildren: Christopher, Skyler, William, Jaxon and Maéva.

She is survived by a sister, Elizabeth ” Betty” Greek of Moncton, a brother, Jean LeBlanc (Rose-Marie) of Cap-Pelé, two sisters-in-law, Édith LeBlanc of Shédiac and Mabel Olscamp of Abbotstford, BC, a brother-in-law, Edward (Anne) Olscamp of Middleton, NS, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Edmond Olscamp (2000); brothers: Joseph, Aurèle, Gérard, Amance, André, Azor, Alphée, Raymond and Joseph in infancy; sisters: Sr Andréa LeBlanc, Marie Lalande, Catherina LeBlanc and Archangela, and Claire in infancy.

The family would like to thank Dr. Véronique LeBlanc, the staff of the Extra-Mural Program and the caring nurses and physicians who played an essential role in her care over the past years.

Visitation will be held from Passage-Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB E1A 1G1, on Wednesday, February 28th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, and on Thursday, February 29th from 3 to 4 pm, followed by the funeral service that will be held in the chapel at 4 pm.

They were the best of times. We wish so much we could be there in person but due to health challenges we are unable and we will be with you in spirit. Hugs to all of you.
