It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Jeannette Chiasson, 88, of Greater Lakeburn, NB, on March 13th, 2022, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC.
Born in St-Isidore, NB, she was the daughter of the late Mathias Losier and the late Alice Thériault.
Jeannette was a happy homemaker who was totally devoted to and loved her husband of 55 years, Clarence. Her five children, their spouses, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her whole world. She enjoyed mowing her lawn, gardening and reading her Danielle Steel books.
She is survived by her beloved five children and their spouses: two daughters: Ginette (Robert) Haché, Louise (Gerry) LeBlanc; three sons: Gilles (Margot), Raymond (Della) and René (Paulette) all of Dieppe; her nine wonderful grandchildren: Nicholas (Nathalie), Marc (Rachelle), Julie (Frank), Jérémie (Martine) Martin, Justin (Mélanie), Stéphanie, Mélanie (Richard) and Ryan (Chloé); and her nine sweet great-grandchildren: Mikayla, Alex, Noah, Vanessa, Kaï, Finn, Sloane, Miles and Nora. She is also survived by four sisters: Bernadette (Alfred) Rioux of St. Isidore, Gilberte (Rhéal) Duclos of Rivière-du-Loup, Madeleine « Mado » (feu Raymond) Daigle of Bathurst, and Yolande of Sherbrooke and two brothers: Tilmon (Emilia) of Tilley Road and Lorenzo (Marielle) of Sept-Iles; a brother-in-law, Yvon Duclos of St. Isidore; and two sisters-in-law: Cécile Losier of Windsor and Berthile Losier of St. Isidore and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Clarence, she is also predeceased by two sisters, Ida and Léona, and five brothers, Sévère (Gertrude), Pierre, Léo (Josephine), André and Romain.
Visitation will be held at Passage-Chartersville, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB E1A 1G1 – (506) 857-1901, on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 7pm to 9pm and on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 9:30am until the time of Funeral celebration at the funeral home’s chapel at 11am.
Interment will be in Saint-Anselme parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
Donations to the Breast Health Centre at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC would be appreciated by the family.
