It is with great sadness that we bid farewell to Jeannette LeBlanc, who passed away at the age of 82 on January 10, 2025 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont hospital. She lived in Dieppe and was the daughter of Édith (Léger) LeBlanc and Régis LeBlanc.
She is survived by her sisters Rosalie LeBlanc-Falardeau and Ruth Morel; her brother-in-law Jean-Paul Morel; her sisters-in-law Rose-Marie LeBlanc and Marie-May Collette; her nieces and nephews Nicole Falardeau (Mike Bosshard), Jean-Yves Falardeau, André Falardeau, Lyne Falardeau, Marc-André LeBlanc, Stéphane LeBlanc (Kathy LeBlanc), Gisèle LeBlanc, Chantal Léger (Serge Léger) and Cynthia Morel (Anthony Stiefel). Jeannette was also a great-aunt to Gabrielle Bosshard, Madeleine and Zoe Stiefel, Karine Falardeau, Patrick, Emily Anne and Nicholas LeBlanc, as well as to Adèle and Simon Léger.
Other than her parents, she joins her beloved brothers and sister, Pierre, Charles and Louise LeBlanc.
Jeannette was a proud Acadian and a passionate music lover. She took her role as aunt and great aunt very seriously and was always the first to enthusiastically attend birthdays, graduations, competitions and artistic performances. Her generosity was exceptional and she would have done anything for those she loved.
She was happiest at the cottage, the Fond de la Baie. It was a place she had cherished since her childhood and where she found herself surrounded by her loved ones. She was especially fond of gazing at the sea and campfires, as well as taking part in card games, ice cream trips and family gatherings. She became part of a new family at the Auberge du Soleil, where she began residing in 2018, and where she was especially happy in the company of her friend Agnès Guitard.
The family would like to thank the whole team at Department 4C of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital for their excellent care of Jeannette – especially Drs Cyr and Martin, the nurses and Mr. Joachin. The family also owes an immense debt of gratitude to her niece Nicole, for her unfailing devotion to Jeannette over the years.
A private celebration of life will be held for immediate family in due course.

I lived next door to Jeannette growing up at my grand mother’s house and I found that she was always a pleasant person. I met her in recent years and found that she was still the same person. I am sad to hear the news and I give my sympathy to the family. She will be in my prayers . Linda and Ken Cuthbertson.
