Jeannine Cormier, 80, of Moncton, NB, passed away on Friday, December 18th 2009 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Notre-Dame-de-Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Fidèle and the late Yvonne (née: LeBlanc) Melanson.
Mrs. Cormier enjoyed bowling and playing Bingo, and was a member of Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix parish.
She is survived by her husband, Calixte; three daughters: Monique (Guy) Gaudet of Memramcook, Gisele (Pat) Cameron of Moncton and Debbie Penney of Truro, NS; three sisters: Viola (Clarence) Breau of Moncton, Claudette (Don) LeBlanc of St.-Antoine and Berthe Melanson of Bouctouche; two brothers: Zéphir Melanson of St.-Antoine and Alcide (Viola) Melanson of Bouctouche; three step-brothers: Paul (Bernice) Melanson, Vincent Melanson and Roger Melanson, all three of St.-Damien; four grandchildren: Janelle, Taylor, Chelsea and Brandon as well as several nieces and nephew.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her stepmother, Imelda Melanson and also by one brother, Raoul.
Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901), on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Monday from 2 pm until time of service.Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, December 21st 2009 at 3 pm. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur Parish Cemetery, Notre-Dame, NB
Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Mme Cormier aimait le jeu de quilles et de Bingo et était membre de la paroisse Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix.
Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux: Calixte; trois filles: Monique (Guy) Gaudet de Memramcook, Gisele (Pat) Cameron de Moncton et Debbie Penney de Truro, N.-E.; trois soeurs: Viola (Clarence) Breau de Moncton, Claudette (Don) LeBlanc de St-Antoine et Berthe Melanson de Bouctouche; deux frères: Zéphir Melanson de St-Antoine et Alcide (Viola) Melanson de Bouctouche; trois beaux-frères: Paul (Bernice) Melanson, Vincent Melanson et Roger Melanson, tous trois de St-Damien; quatre petits-enfants: Janelle, Taylor, Chelsea et Brandon ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Outre ses parents, sa belle-mère, Imelda Melanson ainsi qu’un frère, Raoul, l’ont précédée dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le dimanche de 14 à 16 h et de 19 à 21h et le lundi de 14h jusqu’a l’heure des funérailles.Les funérailles auront lieu à la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, Dieppe, N.-B., le lundi 21 décembre, 2009 à 15h. L’inhumation au cimetière paroissial Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, Notre-Dame, N.-B. Un don à l’Association canadienne du diabètes ou à la société Alzheimer serait apprécié par la famille.
