  1. So sorry to hear about the loss of your husband, father, grandfather. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  2. My most sincere condolences to Ineke, Rick, Rob, Elleke and family. Johan was a man I always looked up to while growing up in our small community of Valleyview. I admired his intelligence, wisdom and composure. He had a hearty laugh and genuinely enjoyed having all the neighbourhood kids around.

  3. Elleke and family please accept my deepest condolences at this very difficult time, my thoughts are with you.

  4. I had contact with Johan once we had both retired from Co-op Atlantic. Occasionally we met at movie showings at the U de M and also at information meetings regarding the pension fund. We exchanged news stories and jokes over the internet. I enjoyed his intellect and sense of humour. I was sorry to read of his passing, my condolences to his family.

  7. Heartfelt condolences to Ineke, Elleke and Rob.
I worked with Johan for 30 years. He was a straight shooter with a great sense of humour and he seemed to have a story for every occasion.
A caring, family man who was well known for his honesty and integrity.
    He will be missed.

  8. I was saddened to read of Johan’s passing. I worked under him for 25 years, he was a gifted leader. He took us all aside to Magic Mountain’s conference rooms, the purpose was to learn what real customer service, at all levels, actually looked and felt like. I know that this teaching was important to him, he championed this program with great conviction.
The balance of my working years were much more rewarding, due in no small part to what Johan gave us the opportunity to learn and use; I owe that to Johan Spiering. Co-op Atlantic was the better for the the time we had with Johan Spiering.
My condolences to his friends & family.

  9. Our heartfelt condolences to Ineke and her family. We feel greatly honoured to have been one of Joop’s friends.

  10. Our deepest sympathy to all of you on your loss.May the memories you cherish give you strength at this difficult
time and long into the future.

  11. Ineke,
I’m so sorry for your loss of Johan. I just learned this from a friend, and had not been aware of it at the time of his passing. I always looked forward to his dropping by for tea each Spring at the time of boat launching.
    My heartfelt sympathies.
