Moncton, NB – John Hill, 81, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, October 18, 2013, after a brief illness.
Born in Joggins, NS on June 22, 1932, he was the son of the late George and Nina (Matheson) Hill.
John will be sadly missed by his daughter, Sherry Weaver (Emery) of Dieppe; his two sons, Robert (Jennifer) and Mark both of Moncton; his brother, Tom (Theresa) of Dieppe; his five grandchildren, Kirk, Amanda, Sean, Tyler and Patrick; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Jean Lewis; three brothers, Jim, Roland and Henry; his sister, Ella.
In respect to John’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Interment will take place at Fair Haven Memorial Garden in Moncton at a later date.
Donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
