Born in Grande-Digue, he was the son of the late Ovila and the late Eva (Donelle) Gallant.
Joseph will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Nicole Gallant-Daigle (Martin) of Ottawa, ON and Josette Gallant (Jacques Arsenault) of Ottawa, ON; his three sisters, Jeanne Hébert of Shediac (Late Pierre), Alma Pellerin of Shediac (Late Eddie), Léona Goguen of Moncton; his five grandchildren, Olivier, Alexandre, Karine, Jasmine and Alexi; also by several nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law.
He was predeceased by six brothers, Alfred, Ulysse, Louis, Adrien, Camille and Léo.
Visitations will be at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (Corner West Lane), Moncton on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. There will be no visitation at the funeral home Friday morning. Funeral mass will be held at Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Roman Catholic Church, 24 avenue de l’Église, Saint-Antoine, NB on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
