Cocagne, NB – Joseph Caissie, 80, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, August 24, 2014.

Born in Grande-Digue, he was the son of the late Philippe and Lumina (Gallant) Caissie.

Joseph will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years, Claudette (Williams); his three sons, Adrien Caissie (Dianne Cormier) of Notre-Dame, Daniel Caissie (Linda Hébert) of Grande-Digue and Marcel Caissie (Lisa Patrice) of Notre-Dame; his daughter, Gilberte Caissie of Shediac Bridge, his brother, Albert Caissie (Jeanne) of Moncton; his three sisters, Gloria Belliveau (Paul) of Shediac, Andréa Gaudet (Omer) and Maria Léger (Roger) both of Moncton; his four grandchildren, Natacha, Marc-André, Julien and Sébastien; also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur and Gérard, and two sisters, Léozé and Eva.

Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, August 28th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the St. Pierre-de-Cocagne Roman Catholic Church on Friday, August 29th at 11 am. No visitation Friday morning at the funeral home.

Donations to the ChuDumont Foundation (Cancer dept.) or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
