Joseph Daigle, age 87, of Richiboucto-Village, passed away on Tuesday July 31st, 2007 after a brief illness at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital. He was married to Lina (Née Cormier) Daigle, born in Saint-Louis de Kent on March 9th, 1920 to the late Clément and the late Préscille (Née DeGrace) Daigle.
He was a fisherman, and belonged to the Saint-Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church, Richiboucto-Village. Joseph was a veteran of WW11 and served with the LaChaudière Regiment overseas from 1944 to 1946. He belonged to the Royal Canadian Legion, Richiboucto, and the Richiboucto-Village Golden Age Club.
Joseph is survived by his wife Lina Daigle, three daughters; Patsy Daigle of Bouctouche, Lorraine Kivelos (Nick) of Dieppe, Nora Daigle (Martine) of Ottawa, four sons; Roger (Cécile), Yvon (Emerise) both of Cap-Lumière, Louis (Anise) de Saint-Maurice de Kent, Victor (Sonia Lee) of Calgary, nine grandchildren, seven great grand children, and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by one brother Camille in infancy.
Visitation will be held at the Saint-Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Richiboucto-Village, on Thursday August 2nd, 2007 from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday August 3rd at the Saint-Antoine de Padoue Church, Richiboucto-Village. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
