Joseph Duplessis, 78, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital on Sunday July 19, 2015. He was married to the late Patricia (Collette) Duplessis. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Joseph and the late Gertrude (Colburne) Duplessis.
Joseph was a carpenter, he was also known as «Joe Doré» a character he played at the Pays de la Sagouine.
He will be sadly missed by his children; Tina Berg (Eric), Patrick, both of Calgary and Ronnie of Bouctouche, his granddaughters; Grace, Dani and Kimberly. He also leaves to mourn his special friend, Cécile, his sisters; Jeannette Doiron of Riverview, Nélida Blacquière of Saint-Louis, Eva Duplessis, Marie Cormier (Normand), Gertrude Duplessis, all of Bouctouche, Carmella Duplessis of Saint-Antoine, Anita Richard (Josephat) of Richiboucto-Village, Noella Arsenault (Francois) of Quebec, Dorine Duplessis of Powell River BC and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four sisters; Anne-Marie, Geraldine, Victorine and Doris and three brothers; Patrice, Glorio and Paul.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Friday July 24, 2015 from 1 to 3:45pm. The Funeral Mass will be held in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste RC Church on Friday July 24, 2015 at 4:00pm.
In Joseph’s memory a donation can be made to the family.
