Born in Moncton on August 29, 1952, he was the son of the late Gérard and the late Irène (nee Nowlan) Poirier. He was a parking attendant at the Massachusetts General Hospital Boston, Mass., USA for many years.
He is survived by his sister, Annette Poirier of Dieppe; his brother, Michel Porier of Dieppe; his aunt, Thérèse Richard of Lynn, Mass., USA; his uncle, Albert Nowlan (Rosée) of Dieppe and by several cousins.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Tuesday, June 11th, 2013 from 7:00 – 9:00pm, according to his wishes there will be no funeral service. Burial will take place at La Visitation RC Cemetery, Grande-Digue with his parents.
