Moncton, NB – It is with great sadness the family of Joseph Wallace Haley announces his passing on June 5, 2019 at the Moncton Hospital, at the age of 90.
Born in Chatham, NB, he was the son of the late Michael Francis Joseph and Christine (Kenny) Haley.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Irene (Lloyd); his daughter, Lynn Laagland Winder (Marten) of Fredericton, NB; his sons, Don (Bonnie) of Victoria, BC, Carl and Wally of Halifax, NS; his sister, Eileen Crosthwait (Tom) of Montreal, QC; his sister-in-law, Barbara Haley (Ken) of Campbellton, NB; as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Wallace was predeceased by his first wife, Marie Antoinette (Toni) Carrier in 1980; his long-time companion, Kathleen (Babe) Haley in 2003; four brothers, Owen (Kay), Michael Francis (Ola), Ken and Gerald deceased at 18 months; brother-in-law, Tom (Eileen) and granddaughter, Angela Marie Haley, 2011 in Victoria, BC.
In his early years, he sold cars at Lounsbury’s in Campbellron and Dalhousie, later retiring from NB Liquor in Dalhousie.
In keeping with Wallace’s wishes, there will be a funeral Mass at People’s Park Tower Chapel, 960 St. George Blvd, Moncton on Tuesday, June 11th, 2019 at 3pm for family and friends.
Interment will be held Wednesday, June 12th, 2019 at 4pm at the St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Campbellton, NB.
He will be dearly missed by many.
