In Loving Memory Of
Joseph Walter Fougère Sr.
1932 ~ 2022

Moncton, NB (formerly of Shediac) – The family is sad to announce the passing of Walter Fougère, 89, at his son’s home in Moncton surrounded by his family, on Saturday, February 5, 2022.

Born in Shediac, NB, he was the son of the late Amédée and the late Annie Fougère (LeBlanc).

Walter worked 25 years for Dept. of Transportation. He enjoyed fishing, bird watching, movies, watching sports and spending time with his family.

Walter is survived by his son: Walter Jr. (Geraldine) of Moncton; his grandson: Kevin; his sisters: Edna Vautour of BC, Léona Boucher (late Ovila) of Shediac, Clarisse LeBlanc (Lee Roy), Camilla Richard (Billy) both Shediac; Suzanne LeBlanc (Gary) of Moncton and Annie Fougère of Cap-Pelé; his brother: René (Judy) of Moncton; his sisters-in-law: Doris (late Léo), Juliette (Late Robert “Popeye”) and Rachel (Late Laurent); also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife: Loretta Fougère; his brothers: Laurent, Robert “Popeye” and Léo.

There will be no visitation or funeral service due to covid. A graveside service will be held later this spring in Shediac, where he will rest in peace with his wife.

Special thanks to (NP) Sylvie Arsenault; his caregivers: Shari, Tracy, Oanh and Buddhin for taking good care of Walter in his time of need and to the ladies of Extra Mural Program for guiding us trough the end-of-life care.  Also, special thank to his friend: Wayne Cudmore for always being there.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Passage Funeral Co-operative and Cremation Centre
