Jospeh Armand Vienneau

Shediac, NB ~ Armand Vienneau, 82, passed away peacefully at the Villa Providence in Shediac, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, September 21, 2015.

He was the son of the late Zoel and late Eva (Collette) Vienneau.

Born and raised in Moncton, NB. In the mid 40’s, he was one of the youngest in Canada at 15 years old to obtain a license as a Ham Radio Operator (VE1UP/VE9UP), a hobby he enjoyed until the last few years. In 1952, he obtained a Commercial Radio Operator License at the St. John Technical School. He had an extensive knowledge of electronics. From 1953, he worked on Magdalen Island as a Radio Operator at the Aircraft and Marine Wireless Station for Canadian Marconi, and later Transport Canada. In 1960, he was transferred to Moncton, and promoted to Superintendent, Landlines Communications for the Atlantic Region, where he retired in 1988. In 1968, he began building his home on the Shediac River where he continued to reside until his illness. A person of many talents, he enjoyed woodworking and hand-made most of his home’s furnishings in his workshop.

Armand will be sadly missed by his wife, Aurella (nee Babineau); his three brothers, René (Sharon), Yvon , and Jean-Paul (Gloria) all of Ontario; his sister, Irene Martin (Leslie) of Ontario; his seven step-children, Daniel, Mark, Michael, Gary, Theresa, Anne-Marie and Rodriek; his twelve step-grandchildren, Clint, Lee, Joey, Ruban, Jessica, Sophia, Erin, Darrell, Daniel, Kale, Seth, and Rory; his two step-great grandchildren, Calum and Sawyer; also by several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends in Moncton and Ontario.

He was predeceased by one brother, Oscar and one sister, Rita.

As per request, there will be no visitation and no funeral service.
