Our dearest Julie passed away on Friday, November 10th, 2006, at her home, surrounded by loved ones. She fought a brave and courageous battle against cancer with great dignity, till the very end. She will be sadly missed by her loving and attentive father, Paul Savoie, her devoted and beloved mother Nicole Richard and spouse Jean Thébeau (Natacha, Daniel and Alexandria), her grandmother, Géraldine (Gauvin) Savoie, her grandmother Pierrette (Blagdon) Richard, her aunts, uncles and cousins Pierre and Lynn (Bélliveau) Richard (Mathieu and Sarah), Bernard and Pamela (Hopper) Richard (Lauren and Michael), Jacques Richard, Marc Richard, Claude Richard and Paul Chiasson, her extended families, Savoie, Richard, Blagdon, Gauvin, Melanson and Thébeau and her best friend since adolescence Micheline LeBlanc, and everyone who had the good fortune to know her.
She was predeceased by her great grandmother (Mémére) Jeanne Gauvin, her grandfathers Hervé Savoie and Dr. Léon Richard, her aunt Paulette Savoie and her great aunt Rita (Savoie) Keohan.
Visitation will be held at the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault St., Dieppe (857-1901) on Saturday, the 18th of November, 2006, from 2 to 4 p.m, followed immediately by a memorial service celebrating Julie’s life.
At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital Foundation (Tree of Hope).
The family wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who lent a helping hand during the last few months. A special thank you goes out to the nursing staff, the doctors, notably Dr. Janice Cormier and Dr. Pierre Whitlock, the staff at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital, the Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Center and the Extramural Hospital for their devotion and compassion.
