Julien Benoit D’Amour, 69, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at the Moncton City Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Baie Ste.-Anne, NB, he was the son of the late Antoine and the late Graziella (née: Turbide) D’Amour.
Julien had retired from an extensive and successful sales career. For 11 years, he was a member of the church choir at Christ-Roi Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving family, beloved wife, Denise (née: Normand); three daughters: Lynne (Jean) Frenette, Charlene (André) Collette and Christine (Marc) LeBlanc all of Moncton; two sons: Michel (Pamela) of Brantford, ON and Daniel (Monique) of Charlottetown, PE; 8 grandchildren: Sébastien, Marc-Alexandre, Stéphane, Pierre, Isabelle, Serge, Mitchell and Matthieu; three sisters: Geneviève, Antoinette and Sr. Julie f.m.a.; three brothers: Ludger, Maurice and Albert; his mother-in law as well as brothers and sisters-in law.
Beside his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters: Thérèse, Maria and Albertine and also by five brothers: Father Cyrille, Roméo, François, Charles and Antonio.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe NB, 857-1901 on Friday, November 30th, 2007, from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Christ-Roi Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, NB on Saturday, December 1st, 2007 at 11 am. Interment in Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe, NB.
Donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Moncton Hospital Oncology Department, Palliative Care, Extra-Mural nurses, Dr. Rubin, Dr. Munroe, Dr. Phelan and Dr. Mansfield.
