Cocagne, NB – Juliette Goguen, 92, of Cocagne and recently of l’Auberge du Soleil, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, on Monday, March 7, 2016.
Born in Bouctouche, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Élise (Allain) Léger.
Her greatest joy was her family. Juliette had a contagious smile and a deep faith. She enjoyed reading and was very interested in keeping up with current events. She kept and wrote daily in her diary for more than 25 years.
Juliette will be sadly missed by her nine children, Angela Stewart (late Jim) of Kitchener, ON, Jean-Paul (Paulette), Réginald (Dianne), Annette Arsenault (Normand) all of Cocagne, Claudette Thibodeau (Alcide) of St-Norbert, Jean-Guy (Dorine) of Memramcook, Vincent of Moncton, Lucille of St-Norbert and Raoul (Rose) of Saint-John; her nine grandchildren, Danielle Stewart (Gideon), Chantal Grundy (Robert), David Stewart, William Goguen, Joline Arsenault (Stéphane), Natalie MacDonald (David), Anabel Goguen (Matthew), Mitchell and Kelvin Keohan; her six great grandchildren, Wesley, Quinn and Samuel Grundy, Ashley and Ryan Arsenault and Leyla-Vel Stewart Gyabaah; she also leaves behind her sister, Anna LeBlanc (Émile) of Woburn, Mass; also several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roméo (2006); three sisters, Dorilla Cormier (Yvon), Lina Berthe (Alphée) and Sr. Thérèse Léger of N.D.S.C; three brothers, Léo, Aurèle (Rosella) and Alban (Anna) Léger.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitations on Friday morning. Funeral service will be held at St-Pierre-de-Cocagne Roman Catholic Church, on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Cardiology Dept.) or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Her heart may be still but the love that Juliette gave will continue to live forever.
