Justin “Juice” Melanson, 22, of Dieppe, passed away on Sunday, May 7th, 2006 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, after a courageous two year battle with cancer, with his parents and family members at his side.
Born in Moncton, he was the son of Michael and France (née: LeBlanc) Melanson.
Juice had been employed at Norm’s Pizza and later as a groundskeeper at the Fox Creek Golf Club. He enjoyed his music, playing pool, hockey and golf. He had a passion for motor sports, especially his Suzuki 650 GSX.
Justin is survived by his parents; Michael and France of Dieppe; two sisters: Jessica and Jennifer at home; his girlfriend, Julie Theriault; his maternal grandfather Yvon LeBlanc of Baie Comeau; his paternal grandparents: Angelo and Yolande Melanson of Shediac Bridge as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother; Ghislaine in 1999.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Thursday, May 11th, 2006 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Friday, May 12th, 2006 from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from St-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, on Friday, May 12th, 2006 at 11 am.
Donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation ” Oncology” would be appreciated by the family.
