It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful daughter Kaydence Marie-Anne, aged 22, of Moncton, who passed away on January 28th, 2026.
Born on October 30, 2003, she was the daughter of Bridget Nodwell and Jason Harper.
Kaydence was a bright and kind soul who brought immense light to everyone she met. She loved her family, and her tremendous number of friends. She was known for her outgoing personality .
She is survived by her loving parents, Bridget Nodwell (step-dad, Quenten Mullin) and Jason Harper; her siblings: Korrey, Krysten, Brookelyn, Nessa, Brock and John-Walter; her step-sister, Megan Mullin; her nephews: George and Preston; her nieces: Athena and Katara; her grandmothers: Phyllis Nodwell and Beverley Harper; her aunts: Ann-Marie Harper, Lisa Harper, Lisa Nodwell, Crystal Nodwell (Ronald) and Angela Beek (Jody); her cousins: TJ McDonald, Brandon Searle (Brogan), Sarah Searle (Bilal), Nichole (Murray), Alex, Jack and Kai. She is also survived by many extended family members.
She was predeceased by her grandfathers: Lawrence Nodwell and Edward Harper; as well as her cousin, Justin McDonald (Brenner).
Visitation will be held at Passage-Chartersville (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe) on Sunday, February 1st, 2026, from 2:00pm until 3:00pm. A funeral service will take place in the chapel at 3:00pm with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice.

Kaydence was such a bright light, every room she stepped into people would turn their heads. She was beautiful, hilarious. And downright a blast to hang out with. Life is not fair and it sure was not to Kaydence. I will always cherish the memories of her I have. I can still hear her laugh. ❤️

There is not a single time I can think of where Kaydence didn’t light up a room with her energy. She lived every moment to the fullest, and was endlessly inviting to anyone & everyone she encountered. It didn’t matter who you were, Kaydence was always accepting. This is far from fair, and I am sending every ounce of love I possibly can to her family during this difficult period.

We couldn’t be sisters biologically because the universe knew we would be too powerful. The thing about family is we get to choose who we hold close to our heart and consider our people. You are my people. I do not want to cry as I know you’d tell me to quit it…. I speak of you with fond memories. We can laugh til our stomach hurts one day again together. Love you.

Kaydence was sunshine in human form. Her smile lit up rooms, and her contagious laughter — I can still hear in my head. Kay was headstrong, resilient, and fearless. She was determined to pursue anything she put her mind to. Her confidence and strength while navigating life were remarkable. Kaydence was someone that made a mark on everyone she met, with her heart of gold leading the way. It was the privilege of a lifetime to not only know Kaydence, but to have her light impact my life.
