It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Cormier, 55, husband of Denise Arseneau, on Friday, July 25th, 2014, at the Moncton Hospital, following a ten month battle with cancer.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the beloved son of Emily and the late Alphonse Cormier.
Mr. Cormier worked many years for Lockharts Ltd. and Aluminart.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his children: Serge and Janelle (their mother, Pauline). He will be missed by his sister, Jenny LeBlanc (Roger), his biological mother, Yvette Bourque (Henri); a special friend, Barb MacDonald (wife of Ken’s biological father the late David MacDonald); two half sisters: Noëlla Bourque (Murray) and Susan Gillis (Jack); his half brother, Daniel Bourque (Thérèse); as well as the extended Cormier and Arseneau families. He will also be missed by his dog, Billy.
He was godfather to Maurice Cormier, Rhéal Robichaud and Amanda Cormier.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Saturday from 9 am until the time of funeral.
A celebration of the word will be celebrated in the Chartersville Funeral Home chapel on Saturday, August 2nd, 2014 at 11 am.
Interment in Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe, NB.
In Ken’s memory, donations can be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Unit 6600 "Oncology" or Palliative Care.
C’est après une courageuse lutte de dix mois contre le cancer que nous vous annonçons le décès de Kenneth Cormier, 55, le vendredi 25 juillet, 2014, à l’Hôpital de Moncton.
Né à Moncton, N.-B., il était fils chéri d’Emily et de feu Alphonse Cormier.
Outre sa mère et son épouse, Denise Arseneau, il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Serge et Janelle (leur mère, Pauline). Aussi il laisse sa sœur, Jenny LeBlanc (Roger), sa mère biologique, Yvette Bourque (Henri); Barb MacDonald (épouse de son père biologique, feu David MacDonald); deux demi-sœurs: Noëlla Bourque (Murray) et Susan Gillis (Jack); un demi-frère, Daniel Bourque (Thérèse); sans oublier sa grande famille Cormier et Arseneau, et son chien Billy.
Il était le parrain de Maurice Cormier, Rhéal Robichaud et Amanda Cormier.
Kenneth a travaillé plusieurs années chez Lockharts Ltd et Aluminart.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B. (857-1901) le samedi de 9h jusqu’à l’heure des funérailles.
Une célébration de la parole aura lieu en la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, Dieppe, N.-B., le samedi 2 août, 2014, à 11h.
L’inhumation se fera au Colombaire de la Maison funéraire Chartersville à Dieppe, N.-B.
Des dons peuvent être fait à la Fondation des Amis de l’Hôpital de Moncton « Oncologie, Unité 6600 ou Soins Palliatifs ».
