Shediac – Kenneth (Ken) Horsman, 71, passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, November 13th, 2011, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Moncton, on May 8th, 1940, he was the son of late Milleage and Ida (Clides) Horsman.
A special thank you to the Halifax Heart Function Clinic, Dr. John Li. Staff of the 3600 floor at the Moncton City Hospital and a heartfelt thanks to his niece, Sherry LeBlanc.
Ken will be sadly missed by his wife, Donna (Austin-Helps); his four daughters, Pamela Bergen (Terry) of Whitehorse, Yukon, Patty Barton (Robert) of Riverview, Kim Girouard (Danny) of Shediac, Jennifer Macmonagle (Tim) of Moncton; his two sons, Kenny Helps (Lisa) of Moncton, Chris Helps (Natalie) of Shediac; his sister, Ghita Gaudet (Eugene) of Dieppe; his thirteen grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three sisters, Olive, Mildred, Mary; his favorite pet, Ziggy.
Cremation will take place under the care and direction of Passage Funeral Co-operative, 3754 Route 134 in Shediac Bridge. By personal request there will be no visitations and no funeral service. A Celebration of his life will be held at his daughter’s home, located at 67, Goldsboro ave, in Riverview, on Friday November 18th, 2011. Open house starts at 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
