The family of Laura Audrey Carter, wife of the late Leo Carter announce her peaceful passing at Spencer’s Memorial Home, Moncton, on Saturday, April 28th, 2018, after a period of declining health.
Born August 10th, 1929 in Southampton, NS, she was the daughter of the late Alex and the late Lessie McLellan.
Audrey and Leo were married on June 26th, 1948; she will be dearly missed by her children: Betty (Eugene) Melanson, William “Bill” (Bernadette), Ruth (Gary) D’Entremont and Todd (Sharon); 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; her sister, Joan (Rob) Major and special nephew, Murray (Elsie) McLellan.
Besides her parents and husband; she was predeceased by her daughter, Nancy Searles; her son-in-law, John Searles; her sisters: Violet, Edith, Ella, Hazel and Ethel and also her brothers: Harry, Roy, Bobby, George, Rex and Earle.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901) on Thursday from 1:30 pm until time of service.
A celebration of the word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 3rd, 2018 at 3:30 pm with Father Allison Carroll officiating.
Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
Donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
