Laurent Caron

Shediac, NB – Laurent Caron, 93, passed away peacefully at the Villa Providence in Shediac, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Lac Baker, NB on March 28, 1920, he was the son of the late Anselme (Sam) and Élodie (Ouellette) Caron.

Laurent was a veteran of the Second World War. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, filial # 025 and a lifetime member of the pioneers Bell Aliant.

Laurent will be sadly missed by his wife, Cécile (Bolduc); his son, Normand Caron (Suzanne) of Dieppe; his daughter, Lise Caissie (Florent) of Cocagne; his four grandchildren, Danika, Danièle, Karen, Jason; and his two great grandchildren, Janelle and Alex.

He was predeceased by one brother, Nelson and one sister, Rita.

Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 9:30 am until time of the funeral service at the Passage Chapel at 11 am. Burial will take place at a later date at the Saint-Thomas-d’Aquin cemetery in Lac Baker, NB.

Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
