Lauretta Léger, 71, of Bouctouche Baie has passed away after a lengthy illness at the Stella-Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent on June 5th, 2008. Married to the late Alfred Léger (2004), she was born in Bouctouche on December 16th, 1936 to the late Arthur and the late Laura (Jaillet) Allain.
Lauretta was a labor for B.A. Richard.
Lauretta is survived by her three children; Monique Léger (Kelly) of Cocagne, Russell (Ella LeBlanc) of Bouctouche, Clarence (Gisèle Richard) of Wisener, three sisters; Louisa Allain (Gene Mazerolle), Diana Cormier both of Bouctouche Baie, Hélèna Poirier of Bouctouche, two grandchildren; Joline and Gabriel, one great grandchild; Jordan, and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one sister; Auréa and one brother; André.
Visitations will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home Ltd., 29, rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Friday, June 6th, 2008 from 7 to 9 pm. and Saturday, June 7th 2008 from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean-Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche, on Saturday at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In Lauretta`s memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation.
