In Loving Memory Of
Laurie Léger
1945 ~ 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laurie Léger, 78, on February 1st, 2024, at the Moncton Hospital.

Born in Amherst, NS, he was the son of the late Régis and the late Adélaïde Léger (Richard).

Laurie will be sadly missed by his daughter, Tina Oulton of Dieppe; his son, Brian Léger (Sonia Voisine) of Dieppe; his grandchildren: Mathieu, Nicholas, Émilie, et Jacob; his great grandchildren: Hinley and Layne; his siblings: Thérèse (Phil) Shediac of Memramcook, Léonard (Kristine) Léger of Fredericton, and Roy (Sandra) Léger of Dieppe; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary; as well as his brother, Raymond.

Laurie worked for Assumption Life for 30 years. He really enjoyed all sports and was a die-hard Habs and New York Yankees fan.

A special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses of the surgical ICU and Neuro ICU at the Moncton Hospital.

Visitations will be held at Passage-Chartersville (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe) on Monday, February 5th, 2024, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm until 9:00pm, and again Tuesday, February 6th, 2024, from 9:30am until 10:30am. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 6th, 2024, at Saint-Anselme RC Church (1014 Amirault Street, Dieppe) at 11:00am.

Donations in memory of Laurie can be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital, the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to a charity of your choice.
