Dieppe, NB – At Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, Laurie Richard passed away peacefully on Monday, February 14, 2022, at the age of 92.
Born in Saint-Louis, NB, he was the son of the late Prudent and Zélia (Chevarie) Richard.
Laurie is leaving behind his loving wife: Lucie (Hebert) Richard; one stepdaughter: Jeanne (Stephen) MacConnell of Lakeville; three stepsons: Henri (Doris) of Aldouane, Andre of Moncton and Pierre of Lakeville.
Laurie will be missed by his sisters: Yvonne LeBlanc (late Adolphe) of Saint-Louis, Eliza Comeau (late Eric) of Bouctouche, Julianna Johnson (Vincent) of Saint-Louis and Rose Gallant (Louis Marcoux) of Saint-Ignace; one brother, Claude (Marie- Laure) of Irishtown.
Besides his parents, Laurie was predeceased by his sisters: Maria, Gemma, Lorraine, and Germaine; as well as by his brothers, Alyre, Adrien, Jean-Paul and Alphonse.
A special thank you to the doctors, nurses at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC and Diane and her staff at the Bellevue Residence for the care of Laurie.
Visitation will be held at Passage – Chartersville, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (506-857-1901), on Saturday, February 19th, 2022, from 12 pm until 1:50 pm. Funeral chapel will follow at 2pm.
