Moncton (formerly of Cocagne), NB – Léa Maillet, 90, passed away peacefully at Dr. George-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, May 9, 2019.
Born in Cocagne, NB, she was the daughter of the late Lévi and the late Rufine LeBlanc (born Goguen).
Léa will be sadly missed by her children, Roland of Cocagne, Linda Savoie (Bernard), Diane Melanson (Dominique) both of Cocagne and Louis (Lucien) of Moncton; her grandchildren, Monique, Carole, Nadia, Cinthia and Chantale; her great grandchildren, Liam, Greyson, Leah, Samantha and Ghislain; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Aquila; two sons, Emerie and Ronald; six sisters, Eva, Claira, Florida, Alma, Lina and Dora; three brothers, Edouard, René and Albert.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge, on Sunday, May 12, 2019 from 7 to 9 pm and on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 9 am to 10:45 am. Funeral service will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, Monday, May 13, 2019 at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity or your choice.
