Cap-Pelé, NB – Léo Arsenault, 81, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the Moncton Hospital.

Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Edward and the late Laura Arsenault (Gallant).

Léo will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 51 years: Carmen Arsenault (Bélanger); his children: Natalie Arsenault of Chicago, IL, Kimberly Arsenault Richardson (Scott) of Fitchburg, MA, and David Arsenault (Jacob Alex Huerta) of New York, NY; his siblings: Rita Girouard (Léo) of Fitchburg, MA, and Yvon Arsenault (Joan) of LaHave, NS; and by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister: Helen Arsenault.

Visitation will be held at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila RC slumber room in Cap-Pelé, on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 2pm to 4pm and from 6pm to 8pm, followed by a service of prayers.

In Léo’s memory, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.

  3. Aunt Carm, Nat, Kim, David and family: I will never forget Uncle Leo. He was truly so talented with his woodworking. Everything he made was so unique and beautiful! I will miss him, but I have great memories that I’ll always remember. I love you Uncle Leo! ❤️

  12. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Uncle Leo. Despite being such an incredibly gifted wood artisan, he remained humble and generous. Uncle Leo exuded genuine warmth and kindness, allowing his work to speak volumes. The chess set he graciously gifted me during our visit remains a cherished reminder of his skill and generosity. I feel truly fortunate to have known him, and my thoughts and condolences go out to Aunt Carmen and the entire family during this difficult time.
