Léo-Paul Maillet, 71, of Memramcook, NB, passed away on Thursday, May 14th, 2015, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB.
Born in Sainte-Marie, NB, he was the son of the late Hilaire and the late Madeleine (née: Maillet) Maillet.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Maillet worked as a heavy equipment operator. In the summer, he enjoyed camping and listening to music; in the winter he enjoyed the outdoors and spending weekends at the camp.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerite (née: DesRoches); four daughters: Joanne (Garth) Lewis, Dianne (Paul) Aube and Monique LeBlanc, all three of Dieppe and Lisa Cooper of Amherst, NS; three sons: Gary (Carol) LeBlanc and Paul (Andrée) LeBlanc, both of Memramcook and Charles (Veronica) LeBlanc of Shediac; two sisters: Rose-Marie Gallant (Don Logan) of Moncton and Linda Dewitt of Dieppe; two brothers: Roger and Jean-Guy, both of Dieppe; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Raymond and also by three brothers: Raymond, Gérard and Normand.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Monday, May 18th, 2015 from 2 to 3 pm, followed by a reception.
Interment in the Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe, NB.
Donations to the CHU Dumont Foundation "Oncology" would be appreciated by the family.

Né à Sainte-Marie, N.-B., il était fils de feu Hilaire et de feu Madeleine (née Maillet) Maillet.
Avant sa retraite, M. Maillet avait travaillé comme opérateur d’équipement lourd. À l’été, il prenait du plaisir à faire du camping et écouter la musique; durant l’hiver, il aimait passer du temps dans le plein air et à son camp.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Marguerite (née: DesRoches); quatre filles: Joanne (Garth) Lewis, Dianne (Paul) Aube et Monique LeBlanc, toutes trois de Dieppe et Lisa Cooper d’Amherst, N.-E.; trois fils: Gary (Carol) LeBlanc et Paul (Andrée) LeBlanc, tous deux de Memramcook et Charles (Veronica) LeBlanc de Shediac; deux soeurs: Rose-Marie Gallant (Don Logan) de Moncton et Linda Dewitt de Dieppe; deux frères: Roger et Jean-Guy, tous deux de Dieppe; plusieurs petits-enfants et arrière petits-enfants, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Outre ses parents, un fils, Raymond ainsi que trois frères: Raymond, Gérard et Normand l’ont précédé dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B. (857-1901), le lundi 18 mai de 14h à 15h, suivit d’une réception.
L’inhumation se fera au colombaire de la Maison funéraire Chartersville à Dieppe, N.-B.
Un don à la Fondation CHU Dumont « Oncologie » serait apprécié par la famille.
