Shediac, NB– It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Léo-Paul Pellerin, 83, on Monday, February 16th, 2026.
Born in Shediac, he was the son of the late Jean Pellerin and the late Melindé (LeBlanc) Pellerin.
Paul worked as a janitor for many years alongside his first wife Catherine. He also worked on the maintenance crew at the Parlee Beach Provincial Park until his retirement. For a brief time, he drove Taxis for Paul’s taxi service. Paul was a volunteer firefighter for 20 years (1961-1981) having been captain for a couple of years. Paul was also an avid runner in his earlier years, running in 10K runs for the Georgie Gallant races during the Shediac Lobster festivals and participated in other local races. He had a passion for wrestling, even trying out wrestling himself and trained with Grand Prix Wrestling for Emile Dupre. He also loved his Montreal Canadians and Montreal Expos
Paul will be sadly missed by his wife, Marie Christy Pellerin; his daughter from his first marriage, Pauline Theriault (Kevin) of Steeves Mountain; his sister, Exelda Plourde of Winchester Massachusetts USA; his granddaughter, Jasmine Theriault from Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Catherine Cormier; his brothers: Normand, Léonce, Jean and Alphée; as well as his sister, Dorina.
In Paul’s memory, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
Respecting Paul’s wishes, there will be no visitation and funeral service.
