Léon Léger
1949 ~ 2023

Grand-Barachois, NB – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Léon Léger, 74, that occurred on Friday, May 19th, 2023, at his residence.

Born in Grand-Barachois, NB, he was the son of the late Arice Léger and the late Augusta (Babineau) Léger.

Prior to his retirement, Léon was a licensed mechanic and electrician for 35 years at the Glass Factory in Scoudouc. He always had projects on the go, and he always loved to work on electronics. 

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Theresa Léger; his son, Emery Léger (Cynthia Curwin) of Moncton; his daughter, Linda Léger (Pascal Chiasson) of Haute-Aboujagane; his granddaughter, Emma Chiasson; his brother, Valerie Léger (Louise) of Grand-Barachois; his sister, Florence Sherman (Eugene) of Riverview, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Jean-Louis Léger.

Visitation will be held from Passage Funeral Cooperative, 3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, NB, 506-532-1050, on Thursday, May 25th, 2023, from 7 to 9 pm only. There will be no funeral service.

In Léon’s memory, donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

  20. So sad to hear about Leon’s passing. I met Leon quite a few years ago through Ham Radio and the Shediac Bay repeater. We used to have Saturday breakfast in the Shediac Mall.
