Born in Saint-Paul, NB, she was the daughter of the late Rémi and the late Lucianne Collette (nee Robichaud).
Léona will be sadly missed by her two sons, Clarence (Lisa) of Desbarats, ON, Édouard (Diane) of Moncton; by her two daughters, Rosetta Gauvin (Roger), Viola Terris all of Moncton; by her two brothers, Fred Collette, Laurie Collette (Alice) all of Moncton; by her sister, Dorina Melanson of Moncton; by her seven grandchildren, Nicky, Jamie, Lisa, Chantal, Jason, Teddy and Jocelyne (Jacqueline); by her seven great grandchildren, Logan, Taylor, Jazmine, Ariana, Eric Tristan and Jada; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Léona was predeceased by her husband, Gérard Léger (1995); by her three brothers, Tilmon, Gérard, Edée; by her three sisters, Dora, Anita, Irène.
Visitations will be at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton, on Sunday, March 1st, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitation at the funeral home Monday morning. Funeral service will be held at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce RC Church in Moncton, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton, on Monday, March 2nd, 2015 at 10:30 am.
