Scoudouc, NB – Léonard Bourque, 84, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.
Born in Scoudouc, NB, he was the son of the late Lionel (1977) and Eva (Richard) Bourque (2008).
Léonard will be sadly missed by his wife, Alma (Vautour) Bourque; three daughters, Lise Belliveau (Dennis) of Scoudouc, Nicole Bourque (Coral) of Grand-Barachois and Carole Melanson (Marcel) of Scoudouc; his son, Valmond (Jean-Marie) of Scoudouc; his sister, Muriel Bourque (Normand) of Moncton; his seven grandchildren, Luc, Mélanie-Ève, Maxime, Nadine, Nicholas, Mathieu and Michelle; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one infant sister, Dorice and one infant granddaughter, Suzanne (1992).
Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St-Jacques-le-Majeur RC Church, 3091 Route 132, Scoudouc, on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 2 pm. Reception will follow.
Donations to the St-Jacques-le-Majeur RC Church in Scoudouc or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
