Cocagne, NB – Léonard Eric Goguen, 68, after a lengthy illness passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 2, 2017.
Léonard, along with his 4 brothers, owned and operated Goguen Lumber in Cocagne. He dedicated over 50 years of his life to the success of the family-owned company.
Born in Cocagne, NB, he was the son of the late Eric and Florence Goguen.
Léonard will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Adrienne; his son, Serge (Monica) of Moncton; his daughter, Mireille (Marcel) of Dieppe; his four brothers, Ola (Annette), Rhéal (Pauline) both of Cocagne, Yvon (Kathy) of Shediac and Jean (Lise) of Notre-Dame; his four sisters, Annette (Jean) of Cocagne, Evéline of Moncton, Aline (Tom) of Burnaby, BC and Jeanne (Dave) of Fredericton; his four grandchildren, Kayla, Jacob, Annabelle and Marco; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge, on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Funeral service will be held at Saint-Pierre de Cocagne RC Church in Cocagne Friday, April 7, 2017 at 11am. A reception will follow at the Golden Age Club in Cocagne.
