Dieppe, NB – Léonard J. P. Cormier, 74, passed away suddenly at his residence, on Friday, August 4th, 2017.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Hervé and Lorraine (Bourgeois) Cormier.
Léonard was dedicated to research in genealogy. He was a sports fan, a kind hearted person and was always willing to help family and friends.
Léonard will be sadly missed by his wife, Louise; his son, Michel of Dieppe; his daughter, Micheline of Washington, DC; his two brothers, Roger (Sharon) of Ajax, ON and Rhéal (Simone) of Moncton; his three sisters, Jeannine Simpson (late Brian), Patricia (Pat) Cormier and Rachelle Cormier all of Calgary, AB; his two brothers-in-law, Armand (Thérèse) of St-Paul and Camille (Judy) of Moncton; his three sisters-in-law, Doris Bourgeois (Paul) of Dieppe, Jeannette LeBlanc (Donald) of Dieppe, Thérèse Belliveau (Terry) of Moncton; also by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his one brother, Michel (1964).
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton on Thursday, August 10th, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00pm and on Friday, August 11th, 2017 from 9:30 am until time of funeral service at Passage Funeral Chapel at 11 am. Reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
