LEONARD "LEN" LIRETTE

Leonard "Len" Lirette, 80, of Dieppe, passed away on Sunday, September 22nd, 2019, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton.

 Born in Fox Creek, NB, he was the son of the late Regis and the late Lorette (née: Melanson) Lirette.

Prior to retirement, Leonard had worked for Rinzler’s Meat Market in Moncton for 36 years. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan and a member of Saint-Anselme parish. 

He is survived by his wife, Doris (née: Gallant); his children: Roger (Florence), Donald (Patsy), Monique (Charles), Michel, Bernard (Suzanne) and Daniel; his grandchildren: Nathalie (Pat), Rachelle (Rémi), Maryssa (Tyler), Danika (Jean-David) and Jordan; his great grandchildren: Jessyca, Alexa, Zoé and Melodie; his sisters: Fedelice, Aline, Dorice (Roger), Della (Wayne) and Dorine (Wayne); his brothers: Dollard (Carol), Louis (Paulette), Charles (Georgette) and Noel (Lorraine), as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sisters: baby Aline and Louise and also by his brothers: Leon, Valmon, Emile and Romeo.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857-1901) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm only.

A Celebration of the word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901), on Thursday, September 26th, 2019 at 10 am.

Donations to the CHU-Dumont Foundation "Oncology" would be appreciated by the family.

 

Au Centre hospitalier universitaire Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont de Moncton, le dimanche 22 septembre 2019, à l’âge de 80 ans, est décédé Leonard « Len » Lirette. Il demeurait à Dieppe au Nouveau-Brunswick.
Né à Fox Creek, N.-B., il était fils de feu Regis et de feu Lorette (née Melanson) Lirette.

Avant sa retraite, Leonard avait travaillé pour Rinzler’s Meat Market à Moncton pendant 36 ans. Il était fière partisan des Canadiens de Montréal et membre de la paroisse Saint-Anselme.

Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Doris (née Gallant); ses enfants: Roger (Florence), Donald (Patsy), Monique (Charles), Michel, Bernard (Suzanne) et Daniel; ses petits-enfants: Nathalie (Pat), Rachelle (Rémi), Maryssa (Tyler), Danika (Jean-David) et Jordan; ses arrières-petits-enfants: Jessyca, Alexa, Zoé et Melodie; ses soeurs: Fedelice, Aline, Dorice (Roger), Della (Wayne) et Dorine (Wayne); ses frères: Dollard (Carol), Louis (Paulette), Charles (Georgette) et Noel (Lorraine), ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.

Ses soeurs: bébé Aline et Louise ainsi que ses frères: Leon, Valmon, Emile et Romeo, l’ont précédé dans la tombe.

Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, (857-1901), le mercredi de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h seulement.

Une Célébration de la parole aura lieu en la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe (857-1901), le jeudi 26 septembre 2019 à 10h.

Un don à la Fondation CHU-Dumont « Oncologie » serait apprécié par la famille.
