It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Leonel LeBlanc, 89, on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Stella-Maris Hospital in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, surrounded by his family.
Born in Saint-Damien on June 30, 1936, he was the son of the late Emile LeBlanc and the late Virginie (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
Leonel will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 64 years, Dorina LeBlanc. He is also survived by his brothers:Robert (Jeannine), Paul (Simonne), Charles (Gisèle), Luc (Paulette), all of Saint-Antoine, and André (Odette) of Moncton; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings: Raymond, Jean, Léo, Rosa, Lucille, and Louise.
Leonel was a welder by trade and, together with Dorina, the proud owner of “LeBlanc Food” store in Saint-Antoine. He also had a passion for working in the woods.
Visitation will be held at Passage-Maillet, 29 rue de l’Église, Bouctouche, on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
Donations in memory of Leonel may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick.

Danny and I send our deepest condolences to you and the family. He’s at peace now and is probably arguing with dad about hockey & the stock market while mom listens on. What a sight to see! We will miss him dearly. See you in December.

Mes sympathies à la famille et amis. J’ai rencontré Lionel quand il commença sa nouvelle carrière dans le bois. Il m’a toujours traité avec respect et manquera à la communauté de bûcherons et de propriétaires de lots boisées.
