Shediac – Léontine LeBlanc, 90, of Residence O’Bon Soins, Shediac and formerly of Cocagne, passed away, on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022, at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent.
Born in Rivière-du-Portage, NB, she was the daughter of the late Léon and the late Olive (Gautreau) Mazerolle.
Prior to her retirement, Mme. LeBlanc was a teacher, she played the organ at the church in Cocagne for many years, taught the piano to many. She was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Natalie LeBlanc (Israel Cormier) of Haute Aboujagane, Lisette Pellerin (Danny) of Shediac and Francine Maillet (Léon) of St-Thomas-de-Kent; her son, Jacques LeBlanc (Lise Johnson) of Cocagne; her grandchildren: Mario, Isabelle, Alexandre, Mélanie, Emilie, Justin and Caleb; her great granddaughter, Audrée; her sisters: Antonia MacDonell (late Dr. John) of Antigonish, NS, Marielle LeBlanc (late Roméo) of Moncton and Marie-Claire Mazerolle of Riverview; her brothers: Yvon Mazerolle (Léoline) of Beresford and Emile Mazerollle (Sharon) of Saint John, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francois LeBlanc in 2004; her children: Claude, Thérèse and Marcel; her grandson, Maxime; her sister, Gracia and also by her brothers: Rodrigue and Alcide.
At the family’s request, mask will be mandatory at the church.
No visitation prior to the service, funeral mass will be held from St-Pierre RC Church, Cocagne, on Thursday, April 7th, 2022 at 4 pm.
