Shediac, NB – It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Lila (Bourque) Hebert, at the age of 90, on April 13th, 2025, at the Villa Providence in Shediac. She was formally of Bouctouche.

Born in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand Bourque and the late Sarah (Richard) Bourque.

She will be deeply missed by her sons: Gilles (Anne), Jean-Paul (Charline) and Raymond (Charline); 12 grand-children and 11 great grand-children; her sons-in-law: Edward Erdely and Robert Hebert; her brothers: Fernand (Corinne) and Normand (Florine); her sisters-in-laws: Marie-Louise and Doloris; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Raymond; her daughters: Louise and Jacqueline (Jackie); her brothers: Laurie (infant), Laurie, Eloi and Aurele; and her sisters Jeannette, Dolores and Odette.

In addition to the family she adored, Lila had two great passions: Artistic painting and her flower and vegetable gardens. She could spend hours painting, and when spring arrived, you could find her outside working in her gardens. Also, for several years, she was co-owner of R.J. Hebert Insurance Ltd alongside her husband Raymond.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of the Providence unit at the Villa Providence for the excellent care provided to our mother.

In her memory, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of New Brunswick or to a charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held at the Passage-Maillet Funeral Home located at 29 rue de l’Église in Bouctouche, (506) 743-2207, on April 22nd, 2025, between the hours of 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm. Funeral mass will be held at the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church at 4:00 pm.
