Lina LeBlanc, 100, of Residence Bellevue in Dieppe, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre on Monday, March 7th, 2022.
Born in Saint-Norbert, NB on Dec 16th, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Gerard and the late Alice Babineau (Boucher).
She attended Sainte-Thérèse RC Church in Dieppe. She was a member of the Ladies auxiliary council Knights of Columbus 1310. She was also a member of Club d’Âge d’Or of Dieppe. She was employed at the Dr. G. L. Dumont UHC until her retirement.
She is survived by daughters-in-law: Rita LeBlanc and Cecile Gould of Dieppe; her grandchildren: Luc LeBlanc (Sally) of Moncton, Julie Dickie (Caleb) of Miramichi and Alice Boulay (Michael) of Moncton; her six great grandchildren: Chloé, Alex, Colten, Amelia, Sophie and Simon. She is also survived by four sisters: Sr. Noella Babineau N.D.S.C of Moncton, Donalda Morel (Jean-Louis) of Montreal, Anna Gosselin (Raymond) of Montreal, Alfreda Soucis (Benoit) of Laval; one brother: Arthur (Thérèse) of Saint-Antoine; also by several cousins, nieces, nephews and her in-laws.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband: Ola LeBlanc (1989) and both sons: Norbert (1995) and Ronald (2019); four sisters; Doris, Emerise, Maria and Carmen; along with three brothers: Cyril, Alcide and Hector.
As per Lina’s wishes, there will be no visiting hours or funeral. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery where she will rest in peace with her husband.
In Lina’s memory, donations can be made to the Saint-Norbert Cemetery Fund or to a charity of your choice.
