Lina Petitpas, 94, of Villa du Repos, Moncton, passed away on Saturday, March 21st, 2020, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB. Born in St-Anselme, she was the daughter of the late Fred Melanson and the late late Ozina (Caissie) Melanson.
Mom dedicated her life selflessly to her family and shaped our lives by teaching us kindness, compassion and empathy. She enjoyed spending time with her family. The world is a brighter place because of her.
She is survived by 4 daughters: Stella Foran (Bernard), Irishtown; Jeanne Brophy (late Richard), Shediac; Maria Drisdelle (Roland), Dieppe; Ginette Petitpas Taylor (Brock), Moncton; 5 sons: Gerald (Janet), Shediac; Armand (Andrea), Dieppe; Sanford, Grande Digue; Hubert (Marie Reine), Fredericton; Reginald (Louise), Shediac Bridge; 2 sisters: Jeannita Cormier (Aurele); Alfreda Gallant (late Neri); 1 brother: Romeo Melanson; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Henry Petitpas; 1 infant son Alfred, 5 brothers: Hervé, Armand, Normand, Clorice and Zoel; 2 step sisters: Delia and Alice; 2 step brothers; Antoine, and Albenie.
Funeral mass to be announced and held at a later date. Interment at the Saint-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe.
